Co-op young members group

Client: Co-op

Co-op young members group is a sub-branch of Co-op, with a team all aged between 16 and 25 years old. They work with Co-op for a few hours each month to lend their voices and share ideas. They help the business to connect with more young members. 

CYMG needed a fresh new logo that would be more appealing to the younger generation so they asked for my help.

The challenge

  • Create a logo that felt more relevant and engaging to younger members.

  • Maintain a connection to the established Co-op brand while introducing a fresh visual identity.

  • Create a design that would appeal to a broad age range within the Young Members Group.

The solution

  • I explored a variety of logo concepts that balanced the recognisable Co-op brand with a more modern and approachable aesthetic. Through research, sketching, and digital development, I created a range of options that focused on simplicity, flexibility, and strong visual recognition.

  • The final selected design provided the Young Members Group with a refreshed identity that felt contemporary while remaining clearly connected to the wider
    Co-op brand.
